We've had a great last week of term in Class 4 producing Christmas carousels. We began by creating 'Christmas' mood boards in our new sketch books to help to get us into the festive spirit. After designing our Christmas themed decorations, we constructed cardboard prototypes before making them in neoprene foam. Next, we set to work making a circuit to power the carousel using a motor, a battery and a switch. The highlight so far has been soldering the wires and hammering the pegs into the base - a fabulous time has been had by all, and we're sure these will make superb centre-pieces for the Christmas dinner table.
