PE and Sport Premium Funding

Schools receive PE and Sport funding based on the number of pupils they have in Years 1 to 6. This funding - provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport - is allocated to primary schools to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.

This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision for PE and sport in schools. Schools are held accountable for how they use the additional funding to support pupils progress and participation in PE and school sport. In addition schools are required to publish on-line information about how they have used the additional funding, including details about sporting provision alongside curriculum details. This will ensure that parents/carers and others are made fully aware of the PE and sporting provision at Lothersdale.

Our report on how we spent the Sports Premium in the previous school year is available below.
