Eshton Grange Day 2

Day 2 began nice and early at around 6:30am after a great nights sleep by all. The sun was shining brightly through the windows and all the children were excited for the day ahead. First however was breakfast. On the menu was a range of cereal, toast and best of all bacon sandwiches. All the children surprised us with how much they could eat, making us nervous about the amount of food we’d need for their packed lunches. Thankfully we had more than enough and all the children were fantastic at making their own sandwiches to eat on our walk. The coach then arrived and took us safely to the start of the Ingleton waterfalls walk. With a strong smell of sun cream, we set off with our first stop and photograph at the money tree. The children guessed there was millions! Soon came the waterfalls. Unfortunately not a lot of water, but impressive all the same. As we reached the top, everyone was excited to see the ice cream van and so we all enjoyed having a fruity ice lolly or a 99. Next up on our adventure were White Scar Caves. Hard hats and plenty of layers on we descended into the dark. The children were enthralled by the fascinating history of the cave and searching for all of the different fossils. Back into the sunshine, the children all very carefully and sensibly made their choices in the shop, making sure they spent every penny! We are currently sat on the coach back to Eshton with plenty of closed eyes but all looking forward to our tea of spaghetti bolognaise. After that we will have our daily swim and play some games outside before we settle down for our second nights sleep. I’m sure all the children will welcome getting into pyjamas and into their beds!
