It is fantastic to see the children in Class 1 becoming more skilled and independent as readers and writers. They all work with thought and care; they listen carefully and try their best.

A ‘have-a-go’ attitude is what we all work towards - the effort children put into their learning is praised and celebrated.

Self-motivation and a desire to know more is warmly praised by adults and the children themselves. It is lovely to hear friends commenting on the quality of another’s work and suggesting that their friend (rather than themselves) should be put on our rainbow!
