Class 2 have had a fantastic visit to Skipton Castle to further our learning about our local history topic. We learnt all about different features of a castle and the different jobs within in a castle over 900 years ago when it was built. The children had a great time looking through the arrow loops and looking out across Skipton from the watch tower as well as exploring the rest of the castle. The children all behaved excellently so we didn't feel it necessary to lock anyone in the dungeon! A huge thank you to our guide Barry for giving us some great stories and information about the castle.
