Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 debating team who gave a superb performance and won the regional primary school competition at the Craven District Council chambers on Monday 19th March 2018. The focus of the debate was ‘Is social media a danger to children?’ The team were in competition with nine other local primary schools. During the event, the team expressed their ideas on the specified issue, both for and against the argument; also posing questions relating to the viewpoints of children from other schools. The team are looking forward to competing in the North Yorkshire Schools final which will take place at County Hall North Allerton on Friday 15th June 2018. We wish the team the best of luck.
