Year 3 and 4 have been practising using intonation and volume when they're reading narrative poetry. They know that intonation is how we can speed up or slow down as well as changing the pitch of our voice too. Volume is how loud or quiet we can speak when reading out loud. We know that intonation and volume makes narrative poertry come alive and sound much more interesting. William kept saying how DRAMATIC it was!
