HUMPHREY HEAD ~ DAY 5

After another really good night's sleep - we're all up this morning enjoying a really tasty breakfast of:

Cereals or porridge

Bacon, eggs, sausage, baked beans

Fesh Fruit

Toast and jam

We've got our final packing to do and then clean up our dormitories and strip the beds!

The weather isn't looking too promising today so we're waiting to find out what our last activity will be.

We're hoping to set off just after 12 - aiming to be back in Lothersdale for no later than 2:30pm - we'll keep you up to date through texts if there are any changes.

2:00pm - Please see below the wonderful email that the school has just received from the staff at Humphrey Head - we are all very proud of the children in Class 4 and the adults that have accompanied them on their residential.

Dear Mrs Robinson,

The year 5s and 6s have just departed from us here at Humphrey Head and I wanted to let you all know there how absolutely wonderful they all were this week! We have had such a wonderful week with loads of adventures, challenges and fun. The children were, without exception, amazing (more or less all of them more or less all of the time!) - they were quite delightful and met head-on every challenge we set for them. I was particularly impressed with their level of fitness, I know Mrs Fawcett works hard on that and it really showed. They did Mrs Fawcett and the team real credit and you should all feel very proud of them.

I am sure they will all enjoy being in their own beds tonight and have lots fo great memories and experiences that they will draw upon in the future. I know I still remember all my residential experiences!

Thanks again for your ongoing support of learning outside the classroom - it is something we feel very passionately about, and we took so much energy from the children ourselves this week. A big hurrah and congratulations to them all.

Warm Regards

Sam (Humphrey Head Leader)
