ESHTON GRANGE ~ DAY 1 ~ JUNE 5th 2019

What a fantastic first day we've had! We arrived promptly at Eshton at 10:00am, eager and excited to get our trip started. We met Mark (the site manager) and Otis the pug and had an introduction talk, then it was time to make our beds! There were various strategies to put on duvet covers with different levels of success as we're sure you can imagine, but in the end all the children worked well as a team and got the job done. Before lunch we played out in the garden, and had a great time running around. Everybody enjoyed their packed lunches and they were soon finished. After lunch we spent time with the animals as the lady who looks after them won't be in work on Friday - we held the guinea-pigs and rabbits and had a lovely time. The time flew by and then we played some football which was especially great fun because all the adults joined in! After all that exercise it was time to relax in the swimming pool - we loved it and had great fun playing with the floats. Then time for tea! On the menu was melon for starters, jacket potatoes, cheese, beans and sausages for our main and then we had yoghurts and fruit for pudding. It’s safe to say that there were lots of empty plates after our days activities so far! After tea we played a few games of bingo before a session in the sportshall and games room. We are now all having quick showers and getting ready for bed. All the children are in really good spirits, having had a great first day and looking forward to spending the first night at Eshton - we're all looking very tired! Signal isn’t very good for uploading pictures so we'll attach some photos as soon as we can.
