This half term Class 3 are learning how pneumatic systems work and will be designing, building and evaluating their own moving monster. On Wednesday afternoon, we all looked at how to create a pneumatic system by using a syringe, some tubing, a balloon and an elastic band. The real challenge was for the pneumatic system to lift a book off the table or to push an object along the floor. All children know that it's the use of compressed air to make these things work and are all really looking forward to designing their own moving monster next week.
