Day 3 at Humphrey Head

Morning! Everyone slept really well last night, with all the children being fast asleep by 10:30pm and no one being awake this morning before 7am ~ the weather and activity certainly wore them all out yesterday.

There's no doubt that everyone is loving the food at Humphrey Head and eating heartily. As soon as the hatch opens in the morning, the children are eager to make their packed lunches and see what's for breakfast.

Today's activities mirror those from yesterday,  with all groups trying new experiences. The sun is shining and everyone is togged up ready for another exciting day!

Evening update....

Mrs Fawcett reports that abseiling was amazing today! and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their activities ~ including the staff! Three fun days of activities are taking their toll, with everyone feeling fairly tired this evening.

After showers and a change of clothes the children have enjoyed another wonderful meal this evening. The school staff are raving about the onsite chef who has served fresh homemade beef burgers, served with triple cooked chips or thin fries with a lovely salad bowl followed by lemon surprise pudding for dessert tonight. Mr Craven will be treated to these delights when he heads up to HH to join the group for the day tomorrow!

The evening activity tonight is being led by the centre staff. With the title of 'Desert Survival' nobody is quite sure what they're in for ~ particularly the school staff who've been told they have to join in too!!

Mrs Fawcett anticipates that bedtime will be even earlier than last night looking at all the 'sleepy-heads' and that includes Mrs Smith, Mrs Hill , Miss Russell and herself.

More news tomorrow.........
